Aegadian Islands: cycle around Favignana with coves like Cala Rossa, quiet Levanzo with cave paintings. Park the car in Trapani, hydrofoil ~30 min.

Volcanic island with Italy's oldest marine protected area – a top spot for divers and snorkellers. Train or car to Palermo, then ferry (1.5–3 h).

The lighthouse of the Mediterranean: an active volcano with hourly eruptions, best watched from Sciara del Fuoco. Car to Milazzo (~3 h), then hydrofoil 1.5–2.5 h – better with an overnight stay.

Kitesurfing Lo Stagnone

The Marsala lagoon (Lo Stagnone) is Sicily's No. 1 kite spot: constant wind, flat shallow water, several kite schools right at the water. ~1 h drive.

Sicily's most popular climbing area: 7 km of compact limestone cliffs on Monte Monaco and around San Vito, 1,200+ bolted routes from 4a to 8b – crimps, pockets and tufas. Ideal in spring and autumn.
